Confirmed by Mitsubishi high offical: Lancer Evolution is no more

How'd we even get on this topic?
For those that think the i-miev is Mitsubishi's first electronic endeavor, you're mistaken.

A lot of things have hurt their sales over the years, but I'd say the number one thing that killed them was closing all of their dealerships. We used to have 5 Evo dealerships in Oregon. As of three years ago we had none. One mitsubishi dealership. If you wanted an Evo you had to go to Seattle. A lot of the common folks don't even realize mitsubishi is around any more. No brand presence, no advertising. What do they expect to sell if no one knows about it?
First off, I love the Ralliart and congrats on your purchase.
However, an average consumer would only look at a few specs such as the following...
2011 Lancer Ralliart
Torque: 253 ft-lbs. @ 2500 rpm
Horsepower: 237 hp @ 6000 rpm
Curb weight: 3462 lbs.
MSRP from $27,695
2011 Impreza WRX
Torque: 244 ft-lbs. @ 4000 rpm
Horsepower: 265 hp @ 6000 rpm
Curb weight: 3208 lbs.
MSRP: $25,495
Ralliart makes more torque, but WRX is $2k cheaper, makes 28 more hp, and weighs 254 lbs less. On top of all that, you can't get a Ralliart with a MT and that's a big turnoff for a lot of buyers in this category. Did I mention Subaru added a STI widebody kit for the WRX?
Again, I am a big fan of the Ralliart and would probably choose it over the WRX but I am a Mitsu fan and most buyers out there are not.

The Evo has such a niche market, only the number people are willing to pay will determine the price of the car, not it being "rare". Doesn't hurt to keep the car in great condition though.
AHAHAHH you are so right. It doesn't even matter if it's the last one because 2012 everything is done! I feel so much better. We still won the fight. FU ck subbies!
no evo x no mitsubishi !!!
i always been a dsm/mitsu fan and owner for almost 15 years now, from my old eclipse/talons to my evo x i sold 6 months ago
the new eclipse are a joke they screwed the up on those, the galant is a joke, so many cars in the price range and style and the SUV area is completly flooded, that leaves mitsu with there only good car, the evo's
as for wrx they seem to be going strong i had a 2004 subaru wrx fully built in the past it was one of the most reliable cars i have ever had, subaru seems to be going in the right direction and mitsu in the backwards position,
also the dealership or stealership are the worst in florida, old smelly run down, takes hours to do anything,
i hope mitsu is reading this !!
sincerly
dissapointed mitsu fan !
