Confirmed by Mitsubishi high offical: Lancer Evolution is no more
lol apples to oranges. an Evo in China costs $80k USD.
for 37k, you can easily get a BMW 3-series or Audi A4 here in the states. an Acura TSX is 30k and that's with full leather seats and HIDs. I know Evo offers way better performance than any of those cars but Mitsu's brand reputation is nowhere near any of them. the fact that an RS used to cost 28k, i think an X GSR should be about 30k and 32k for a MR. maybe 34k with leather seats, additional sound deadening and whatever crap old people/former BMW owners want.

This is disappointing, the evo 10 was the first incarnation of a "new" evo era because essentially everything was new and nothing was carried over, now we wont get to see any other reiterations like we did with the previous models. Well, at least evo 10 guys got a good 3 years out of it, sort of the same as evo 8, the 9 on the other hand, only one, but almost feels like two since they produced them all the way thru july 06 for us lol.
I was being snide about the DSM comment, point was it isn't the same reliability / limited production the Supras had.
They aren't enjoying exceptional resale values at all. No banks will loan more than nada guides. And no insurance company is going to payout higher than nada guides, unless you go through the hassle of over insuring it which is more trouble than it's worth. I found out the hard way as I was selling my X MR. Fully loaded, bought for 38k in aug 09, sold for 29k in March 11. That's a HUGE hit. People that have their Evos listed high are sitting on them.

excellent. and the hype wasnt for nothing. the "hype"caused untold numbers of people to pelt every public avenue of address to Mitsubishi with thousands and thousands of angry letters that may have saved the evo. i dont think mitsubishi was ready for the backlash that came along with their first announcement, and maybe didnt realize how popular of a car they really had.

year so far.
