I meant to point that out in regards to the entire thread and the Mustang/Camaro comments here (not your comment in particular). You may be correct about Mustang axing plans, but I don't know for sure.

I think we can all agree on one thing: the 2011 5.0's sure did benefit from new technology, didn't they?

Yeah I thought I remembered hearing rumors about the Mustang too but I can't remember for sure... it was a while ago.

With the recent changes in WRC rules - 1.6l turbo, no auto gearboxes, etc - I'd LOVE an Evo like the above. Maybe ~250hp stock, ~2800lbs, AWD, and smaller than a shoebox. I kid you not, I'd SO buy this.

The million dollar question, right here.

It sure would be fun to sit in on some Mitsubishi meetings and listen to them decide what to do with the Evo. We'd need translators of course.

I think this looks sweet. could be a tad more aggressive up front. maybe just used to the evo style hood. Definitely wouldnt pay 30k+ on it though

why?! because maybe everyone here likes to be able to look at there car and be happy with the money they spent on it....if your lookin for a car with performance and no looks than go build a budget car. i for one, was sold on the evo 8 and 9 for its look. i cant say 100% because the looks, but it was an all around well built car. looks, performance and handling. if you have no problem pissing away 30k+ just to go fast than good for you. but i can tell you your not gonna find too many people on here that feel the same way as you. and as far as the performance, there have been way too many threads already about the rumors of the XI motor...like i said rumors. so when there is 100% truth behind something that someone's friends dealership owners mothers uncles brother said to someone, then you'll see the real war

It can be comforting to think that folks buying performance-oriented vehicles aren't choosing them for superficial reasons. Clearly, this notion isn't necessarily realistic. And so it goes...

Is it the forum, the thread, or the individual that tends to hop on the extremes? There are those who drive and those who park, and it will likely never change. At least Rob and I know where we stand. Come to think of it, the rest of you do, too.

I actually kinda like the concept pic you posted. I was just messing with you man... I couldn't resist busting your chops over your previous satement.

Personally, I prefer to have a car that looks and drives good but that's just me. And for the record... I'm actually sitting right now.
