2012 Changes?

I am going to buy an Evo as a daily driver (with the exception of during heavy snow, will still have my HemiSport Ram). I am 95% sure I want a GSR so that I get a true manual trans...I also want Nav, Sight + Sound, Sun + Leather packages. I am debating the Aero package and color, White, black, or blue.
My big questions are what are if any changes that have leaked about the 2012 model?
What is the GSR manual RPMS at 70mph vs. MR's RPMS at 70mph? (I take alot of road trips.)
I want to keep the warranty valid so I will just be adding mudflaps, wheels, tint, and possibly a boost gauge. Has anyone ever had an issue with warranty having ONLY a boost gauge?

Thanks.....please give any input!

Pretty sure the current Evo will be sold until 2013, after that the name will continue on something radically different, per recent info from Mitsubishi...

I'm 100% stock and crusing 70 on the freeway is typically around 33-3400.

Boost gauge can be useful for watching fuel consumption when cruising. By making effort to stay in vac when you don't need to use boost you're avoiding using extra gas unnecessarily.

Didn't want to say it as another reason and start the posts of "its not a economy car"

Thanks for saying it for me!

No problem, we only have one planet!

Yeah, it's not an economy car but it seems a bit stupid to be burning extra fuel for absolutely no benefit. I'm pretty sure there are better things to spend money on.

If you use your gauge properly you can adjust your driving to minimize boost lag, identifying boost spikes and realizing issues such as leaks. They're not just there to see how high they can go.

Back to topic, it depends which company does your warranty. Each one is different but seeing as it's more of a diagnostic tool than a modification to the car it shouldn't affect it. It's best if you check with your warranty supplier first though.

The Evo is going to continue until 2013. Then they will be switching it over to the Colt platform. So, the Lancer Evo will be ending, but the Evo will not.
