Evo XI Concept Renderings, Spyshoots, Teasers
im good with my ix. its got the right stuff. Don't see the next few gens getting any better than the ix unless they try to do an awd electric car with a range of at least 400 miles.i really love the sound of the 4g63 but i'd trade that for more torque and 1/3 of the running cost.vNot to mention their is 2 moving parts in the whole motor and no transmission or clutch. That will equal no cost of wearable parts and lots of fun. I can see electric vs gas on the track very soon with or without mitsubishi.
Me too.
I was so worry about hybrid system in the first place. However, seeing a lot of brands even super sport car manufacturers are making hybrid and diesel performance cars, I am quite positive now.

As far as I know, most of the "performance hybrid" are faster than the gas version even they are heavier. The only down side is the price. "Economy hybrid" is already overpriced for me. When it come to performance one, I can't even imagine. Sure, the hybrid is green and less harmful to the environment, but I can't afford one at this moment to save the world.

To be brutally honest...I really hope they don't make an Evo XI. I personally believe the Evo X will become a legendary car eventually, just like the IX. All of this modernized LED this, LED that, diesel this blah blah blah is cool an all...but I think it takes away from the rawness and takes away from history in a way. Plus I think Subaru is dropped "Impreza" from their new models. So it's just a Subaru WRX and Subaru STI.

Yes, I heard that the Subaru is planning to drop the name "Impreza" from WRX and STI. The next generation of STI is also a hybrid just like the EVO XI. Let's see which one will be better or have more haters.
You can keep your EVO IX and X, but why would you hope the Mitsub stop making new EVO??? If the previous generations are legendary cars, their status would not change no matter how the XI looks like.

The Evo's got its work cut out for it and I'm saying that as a rabid fan. The Mk7 Golf R (~3200 lbs, 290 hp, much more low end torque) will give any stock X MR a run for its money and is far better for commuting.
The CLA 45 AMG is also a contender at a slightly higher price point.
The future does not look bright for a heavy, battery laden behemoth that's buzzy, gas-guzzling, and plasticky inside.
