Just read the entire thread. Some of the concept renderings look decent, but like any concepts, all flares and body lines will be over exaggerated. I'll wait until they reveal an actual production model that's similar.

As a WRX STI owner, I'm not liking where the design department is going with the new WRX either. But...beauty is in the eye of the beholder. It'll persuade me more if the body lines will aid well in aerodynamics though.



Unless you are talking about the possible potential of the speculated new motor, the Pikes Peak car is a racecar and production numbers will not be anywhere near there without an increase in cost.

 

I hope the spy shots are inaccurate. That thing looks like a Toyota Carolla with a hood scoop and a wing.

I love love love my 9. I see some modded 10s that look fantastic as well. A good example would be the gates edition but it takes too much money to make them both sexy and fast.

I'm not driving a X because it doesn't offer me enough performance. The next evo must be lighter and produce more HP. I don't care about nav or 20 speaker stereo systems. I want a great sounding motor, less weight and raw power.

If they made an RS evo X similar to the gates X I would buy it today.

Mitsubishi's design is getting more influenced by Europe. I kind of like it, it's very different.

This is a cool thread. I'm about to start my first semester of college at a school majoring in car design, so this thread make me want to design my own version of a new Evo.

Very futuristic and much sleeker than the Evo X. I think in person it'd be stunning.

 

Do it! Make a few versions, then submit your designs to Mitsu and see if you can get your foot in the door.

 

I might be able to sit down tonight and do it after work, but I've been crazy busy lately, so no guarantees. We shall see though.
