Yes diesel cost a little more, but it also goes a lot further than gasoline....

I know plenty of people that shell out a fortune for 100 octane fuel and don't care about price because of the performance it delivers.
eh my whole life i've loved cars, CARS, in the us that means gas engines, and rc cars (electric). I just dont think i'd be able to get used to it, diesel? my f350 evo??? da FF

you're focusing on the wrong thing, technology is moving forward and it will be improving on the brand, more power more torque, better handling, and much much better gas mileage.... what is there not to admire about the next generation EVO?

don't be afraid of the future.... embrace it!!

and a car is a car no matter what power plant it has

Agreed, there has been too much negativity from this forum about looking towards innovation. It may not be everyone's cup of tea on hybrid tech, but at least see the final product before bashing it for no other reason other than it being different from your evo 8's and 9s.

Let's move forward. EVO's 8/9 were great cars. I have no doubt that Mitsubishi's next flagship model will impress. Besides, who else has done a performance hybrid besides the Porsche 918?

After browsing these forums checking for Evolution updates for the last few years, I'm proud to be member now. Here's a link to a new Evolution XI rendering and 2016 Evolution XI confirmation I hadn't seen yet!!

So I just realized I was beat to the punch with those links.. I don't know how I missed that; oh well its such good news it needed to be posted 2X. Anyway, I honestly believe that Mitsu is going all out on this next halo car, if they're able to get perfect weight distribution, 300-350+ HP with STI destroying torque numbers then I'll be first in line.. Can't wait-

Werd.

Hybrid tech is clearly the next major step in car design. And, c'mon, the car has the word "Evolution" in its name.

I'm feeling this design, but I wouldn't give up my evo 10 for it unless it came with 400 hp.

Yes, it is good. You get good power already when it is in stock.
I always love the diesel version of model car. It is a great improvement on the torque. 0 to 60 can easily be under 5s even if the new EVO is heavy.
Well, I guess only those who like to mod and tune car would be scared.
There is always a new way to improve power. No need to scare.

I like NEW diesel and Hybrid tech. Many brands are working on this technology.
None of the generation fail.
Although some people stop at 9. X never fail comparing to other modern cars.

I just noticed that there is no more intake hole on the hood? is it because 4B11 is not used anymore or they changed the engine orientation. it actually looks like a sketch only without any actual 3d footage?

This is just a sketch. There is no chance the Evo XI would look this detailed. I can't say I would trade my 9 for one unless I saw a final product, which I am 100% sure it would look much simpler than this car.

I agree 100% the sketch and concept models are always more intricate and flashy than the actual production car, but it will always hold a strong resemblance, as long as it stays close to this then i'm in for the XI

but then there is the new 2015 wrx....... subaru dropped the ball when going from concept to production and the vehicle lost all of its design flair!
