2014 Lancer Evolution
I heard from a Mitsubishi dealer in Minnesota that they will start taking orders in May for the '14 Evo X. The orders will be delivered in October through December. He said it's the exact same car, except the price may go up a bit - I dont think the price is confirmed yet.
If the car does roll over into 2014 without any additions or changes, I would guess there would be a couple hundred dollar increase. The 2013 was a couple hundred dollars more than the 2012 and I believe they were the same vehicle without any changes.
I do agree they are. But they obviously were way in the red after '08 (skipping a year is a huge sign on that). I'm sure they've been trying to recoup money since. I really wish a bumper or interior update would have been done at one point or another.

Not sure with Mitsu, but many dealers here had the 2013 MX-5's on the lots before Mazda had updated the website.
If I recall correctly, it was the same thing a year and a half ago with Mitsu. I was looking at the 2011's in November 2011 and there were 12's in the lot already. IIRC, the site still had 2011 only on it at the time.
Not sure why the inconsistent information that has been circling around, although couple months sounds more reasonable.
Last year the 13s hit around that time frame.
I contacted South Coast right after I saw your post, and they told me what I heard was not true and that it would be here in a couple months.

Nonetheless, I'm interested in a 2013.
I know why you say that, but I really don't mind that the 2014 will basically be a continuation of the 2013.
I'm in the market for a second car, but I'm not sure if I'm going to get one this year or wait until next year.
If I have to wait until next year, I'd much rather buy the current Evo which has had seven years to get most of the bugs worked out instead of some new highly complex hybrid. You just know that the first year or two of the new Evo is going to suffer from some significant issues (as almost all new models do).
