No Recaro's for the upcoming 2015 Evo X
I agree that I feel Mitsubishi in particular seems to be content tricking buyers into buying because of "zomg this is the last year, we PROMISE this time!", thereby boosting sales, by not substantiating rumors fast enough or shooting them down. They really should release more concrete info ahead of time if they know something. That would be the responsible thing for a company, but not necessarily the most immediately profitable. Which is why I won't be buying a mitsubishi again, in addition to the evo being the only one I have any interest in and specifically bought because it's a dying car.
Dealers are dealers. They are not manufacturers. I believe nothing that comes out of any dealership. However, I do take stock in what manufacturers say, hence my comment that Mitsubishi is the most inscrutable of all car companies. Look at the on/off comments coming from corporate Mitsubishi regarding the Evo XI. As for the blogs, I totally agree. I started a thread based on an Autoblog article that said the Evo was dead and lo and behold, there will be a 2015. I should have remembered the adage that says, "believe half of what you see and nothing of what you hear".

Here is a lone X that I snapped its pics from Mitsubishi head quarter while attending the MOD today. Does it looks like the 2015 X to you? Its front end looks different than my friend 14 X. Yes it does come with the Recaros.

/sarcasm >_>
Sigh... Mitsu Mitsu Mitsu... Why, Mitsu, Why.....
Guys,
Just a quick update on the issue. It is confirmed that 2015 Evo X will have NO Recaro.
I went to the dealer this morning and showed me the note coming from Mitsu motors. Reason for that is because mitsu need to have airbags on side bottom place.
in addition, the price will not change at all.
Rgds,
Chris

Salesman at my dealership (so take it all w/ a huge grain of salt) told me the 2015's should be available after Labor Day. The new 'XI' is based on the Concept XR-PHEV Evolution and will be available fall of 2016. It will be offered as both a turbo hybrid AND diesel. He also mentioned it be a higher price point than the X. I'd be shocked if they did either by 2016, so, sounds exciting but really it's just more waiting. At least there's new cup holders available soon.
