I wonder if this would be possible to ditch those seats and install recaros from 2014 and older cars and still maintain airbags functionality?

I can't buy 2014 right now, I am aiming for a 2015 only But I have been seating insde of 2014 and those seats are awesome!!

 

I'm kinda glad they messed it up and less people who were putting the purchase off will be able to get real evos. It's one of the large reasons I chose this car over the others (getting the last good model year that will be rare in the future since the car will be dead).

 

not like you can't change those for $900 out of ebay. But then again whats the point of buying a new car to get used seats in it...

 

I hope they are a plug and play, I will get used seats, it is ok, if they are in ok condition

 

Does anyone have a picture of the seats that will be in the 2015 GSR?

I believe I read they will be from the ralliart, but I am having a difficult time tracking down proper pictures.

If the price is lowered this could be a good thing. Anyone who really wants a set of X recaros can find a set easy enough. While those that was a lightweight track seat (which the stock X recaros are not) can swap in the seat they want.

According to an earlier post, they will be the seats out of the 2015 Lancer GT. I found a good pic from a dealer's site.




They do appear to be what is also used in the ralliart, based on google.

I'm sure if you sell the seats before you ever drive it off the lot so they're brand new, all you'll have to pay for brand new recaros is $500 + what you sold the seats for

They should have discounted it way more than they did. It's pretty obvious the recaros are worth a substantial amount more than that.

 

They mention no bbs,recaros,brembos.!pretty much have to buy it aftermarket to put them on.Takin away the good materials and watering down the evos.!

 

I think its only Recaro seats. As for that I don't really buy the safety thing.
These are CLA seats, they could've got an alternative to change to these, but I guess they like their stuff cheap.

 

it's getting ridiculous every body hating Mitsu for seats which American law denied due to air bags issue. I love the fact that Mitsu offered me a turbod car with nice power, brembo brakes AWD , even sports recaros all I got under 30 K when I bought my evo X back in 2008. So I forget Mitsu if they offer cheap seats on 2015.

 

dont hate that ;_; just that actual alternative is bad.

 

You would see it differently if you were in the market for a 2015!

 

I actually dig those CLA seats.
