Evo MR write up in Road & Track
I just need to know if the EVO 7 JDM is lighter than MR. My owner manual says 1380Kg
= 3042 lbs. And the Power is 280cv = very close to 285/290cv MR. Can I expect the same performance numbers as MR?
If I were you I would wait for the FQ 330!!!

Still no word from the Mitsu rep when were going a blasted MR of our own to test...maybe they're still bitter that we handed the Evo 8 back without any tread left...
You guys need to take some of those rides you get around a few circuits! Each article has some really nice looking roads and nice lush back roads, but ya need some good lap times and at the limit details mixed in the article. And come down south where the sun shines on occasion. I'll have to PM ya about covering a readers ride..

MR is coming and I have a deposit on it

And yes, I agree with you fully. We're working on securing the track time and getting situated with the manufacturers. We're also going to use an airstrip (a la Top Gear) for an upcoming Rally and Drifting DVD...but more on that later...no "official" announcement yet.
RTS shows his brain capacity by saying that Turbo-ron. He only sees it as a minor weight reduction. What he fails to see is that the reduced wait lowers the center of gravity which in turn helps the stability of the car GREATLY! It helps negate body roll by a big margin. According to mitsu it is as good as lowering the top of the car 50mm. I don't know about you but that is alot. Just think how stupid the car would look trying to keep the steel roof and just lowering it. I know, I know, kinda a goofy thought....but that is why mitsu did that, and that is why they build things the way they do.
And to just lose weight is not going to be as effective as much as hacking weight at the far edges of the car.
I can't wait to see some of the tests that come back from the magazines on the G forces this car produces in the slolom. I bet people will easily be hitting over G.
But, don't let these morons get to you.
