just got a call from my dealer today who got his allocation from mitsu and since i'm first on the list, he called to find out what color i wanted. i forget the official names, but the choices were red, white, silver and grey. i ordered grey. and for purposes of this thread, i mentioned the vap sheet that had been posted and he told me that according to his allocation sheet, there are no options on the mr. this was confirmed by the second dealer that called me since i was on their list too. anyone else have an order confirmed yet? just wondering if the no options thing is accurate.

Ya exactly my dealer also said mr had no options. Why hasn't any members who are dealers posted on this to clear things up. Right now you are the only one who has received this info. Don't be calling people stupid and threating them when you could be the one looking like a fool with your reply post. You are so defesnive about it.

There is a difference between an option, which the car is equipped with at the factory, an an accessory, which can be installed at the dealership, or at port.

I will confirm this with my dealership friday as to what is what.

Additionally, the dealership only expects to have pricing within 30 days of ordering the car. They may have it same day, they may have it a month after. Simply how it works.

Question A thought..

Alright time for some opinions, lets see where it drives this thread :P

If you're an unlucky soul who does not have themselves an Evo, and you now had the means of getting one; would you wait for an MR, or jump onboard now and enjoy an already wonderful car?

There is no doubt that MR will have options which includes the followings:

aluminum pedals
aluminum shift knob
gauges pack
gauge bezel
Vortex generator
aluminum e brake handle
wheels lock
MR badge

The package is called MR accessory package and clearly listed on the Mitsu's site. And the document scanned by Favre95 just reconfrimed it with the $799 package price.

Everywhere else in the world has those optional items, the only thing that is not 100% certain is just the pricing in the US. Honestly, i think the MR package is kinda cheap at $799. I was expecting the package to cost somewhere around 1k. But it seems like mitsubishi is giving us a $400 or so discount when we buy the whole package.

Don't trust the dealer, there are dishonest and dumb dealers still denying about the existence of the MR, MR will cost over $40k, MR will not come here till the summer of next year, etc.....

I would wait at least until some of the MRs are tested and the equipment included on an MR is known.

it really seems as if the X's denote that the option is standard... they have 3 different model codes for the GSR, it seems as if one represents sun and sound package, etc. it would be weird if the MR came without badging and all those goodies. besides the 6MT, the MR doesn't really appear to have any performance upgrades over the others, just handling and appearance, since they all have a different turbo. so since the sheet states that the MR package will run for $799, does that mean that the MR will run for only $799 more than a regular evo? seems strange, but that would be nice.

well i dunno if that makes sense actually, cuz then the RS would cost more than the GSR, or at least the way I see it, and i don't think that will happen, will it?

No, the MR will not be $799 more the standard GSR. The $799 is going to be added to the MSRP of the MR if you choose the MR accessory package. MR is not an package, its a model. The sheet shows MR ACCESSORY package.

Let say the MR is somewhere around $34K @ MSRP. So if you buy this MR accessory package, the price will be $34799

Dealer called me today.
Said the MR will be in the 34g range.
Funny that you said chantaiman51 that and he did say that the accessory package is seperate.
The dealer will sell it for 500 over invoice when it comes =) hopefully i can do better than that.

This is to clarify:

You must choose MR as a model. Then you may choose the additional MR option package if you choose to buy the MR. This adds the $799 onto the MR MSRP. That is why it does not list the 6 speed, aluminum roof, etc. Those are standard to the MR's MSRP. Then the MR option package adds the other extras like the pedals and other things, to the MR's standard features such as aluminum roof etc.

So no, the MR does not cost only $799 more than the standard EVO.
Yes, the MR will still come with 6 spd, aluminum roof, etc.
Yes, the 6spd etc is standard.
No, the MR is not a "options package" It is a model, that you can choose which hikes up the MSRP. Then you may choose to add the "MR options package" to the MR.

No leather? No options other than accessory package?

Dealer rang me yesterday as he received his MR allocation. Doesn't seem like there's much if anything to order other than the accessory package which is being included in the car anyways. I was really liking those leather seats but it doesn't seem to be an option on the MR. Asked the dealer to fax over his selection sheet so I can take a look. Color wise - concur with earlier reply - it was either red, silver, white, or grey. No blue and no yellow. I went with grey as the dealer needed to put his order through yesterday.

But I'm jumping on board with the MR. Coming off a E46 M3 and had an E36 M3 prior to that. Am really curious as to how the MR will drive differently than the current Evo as I've driven a friend's Evo. Any former E46 M3 drivers out there that can give me the run down on what to expect? TIA.

And new suspension, and lightened and more power...
