Had the dealer fax me his options sheet on the MR for my allocation. The accessory package is standard. There are no factory options for this car whatsoever which is surprising. I was hoping that leather would be available and at least the Infiniti stereo.

Debating now if whether I'd be more happy with a regular EVO now and do the mods ...or maybe just keep the M3 around....

 

Nice post I for one rather put my own radio in. Very easy due to the lancer din configeration and the infiniti radio is a waste of money. From the sheet i do not know if only grey get the all black wing or for all MR. I really hope our headlights are black at this point. I wonder if we are getting auto climate controls Anyways nice post. New MR info is always welcomed

Talked to dealer this morning and they said that the MR has to come with a sunroof? Is this just misinformation or has anyone else heard this? It seems like a waste of the aluminum roof to do such a thing.

anybody notice in the first attachment of pds22's post it says transmission code is 6M/T and the type is a 5 speed transmission?

That would be misinformation.

 

There is no new info here, it mentions the same MR accessory package but with no pricing. The rest of the info is already up on Mitsu's website for months.

I just like to know if we are getting the charcoal black seats for the MR or the standard US seats. I hope we are getting the JDM MR seat cuz my butts are pretty small.

 

I really hope this new scans is just a preliminary sheets. Have you guys notice on the second page, it listed the clear Jewel type tailights for the MR, if this is true, we are not getting the black housing tailights.

 

I'm not a big fan of all show/no go accessories but I agree, those blacked out tail and headlights are great looking. I'm not going to complain too much though, it probably isn't too hard to DIY, maybe I'm wrong.

I haven't seen anyone ask it yet so I will, does anyone know how (or if) wicked white is different from our current weightless white?

And thanks for the response ringthree, hopefully the dealer gets that cleared up. No way I'm putting a whole in the roof of that car.

 

I'm going to re-drive my friend's 03 Evo to get a real good feel for the 5 speed tonight.

Looking at the spec sheet from my dealer - the real value of the MR is the 6 speed, Bilsteins, BBS wheels, the Al roof (if you don't want a sunroof), and the trim trinkets. Other than that I'm hard pressed to spend the extra $$ for the MR vs GSR now that I see that these OEM parts can be ordered and installed afterwards (with exception of Al roof and 6 speed). And I prefer to have the sunroof and leather seats.

There are no factory options for this car. The accessory package is part of the MR - standard. I had my dealer tell me what options there were available when he called for my color selection to send back to Mtisu and he replied none. So hence his fax to me of his spec sheet for my allocation as I was unconvinced.

For you current EVO drivers - does the car need the 6 speed? With my E36 M3 it really could use the extra gear when travelling on the freeways at 80mph+ and it was a godsend to have it in the E46 M3. But the E46 M3 also had an extra 60hp+ to handle.

 

Hey scorpio...I love the ignorace.....I work for a dealer...that is how I obtained the info. One it is not fake....and two there is nothing in that second post(scans) that I didn't already tell you from my scan. If you would do a little investigating you would find out in fact I am right.

 

Don't worry about it! 50% of our population have below average IQ anyway.

Keep up the good work and feed us any news you could find at your dealership. Be sure to break into your boss's safe everynight before you leave work, maybe he/she is hiding something.

 

LOL! Well I have been searching for everything I can. I am more than happy to post it too. But the thing is our Sales manager has heard nothing in terms of allocations for these cars yet. Our rep said anywhere from september to december for delivery too. Now I know that is just a rep talking, but I think there is some validity to that. Look what happened to the first batch of 03's...didn't get here till march when they were supposed to be here 2-3 months earlier....

 

So basically what I said over a week ago. The MR will not be it's own car, it will be an RS model with a few extras (this coming from my dealer today). He showed me the brochure that is shown above and pointed out the the $799 is the increase for the 6MT option, pedals, vortex gen. and badging. There is no ACD, AYC, increase HP/TQ, and no point to buying this car over a standard Evo.
