I hope this isn't a repost. But here is some new MR info. The MR looks like it comes with the Infinity Sound System. But anyway...here is some new info to chew on.

so, it is only $800.00 for the 6 speed and all the other MR Badging........ that makes it sound like the MR is really not the same as the Other countries MR"s.???

what happened to the lightweight aluminum roof, the better suspension?

I would still pay $800.00 to get the 6 speed, but that doesn't make it an MR in my mind.?

Your paying for a 6m/t Aluminium shift knob (among other things) not the box itself.

 

Initially confusing, but I agree it reads: 6M/T Silver Aluminum Shift Knob.

Not: 6M/T, Silver Aluminum Shift Knob.

 

Notice only the RS has "manual" AC. Looks like they are going to Auto Climate Control like the UK/JDM ones....

ok..... i thought the MR package was going to basically be a regular Evo but with this $799 package added to it.....

so a MR edition will not automatically come with this $799 package? I like that idea.... stealth MR!!!!!

 

almost kinda what it sounds like to me...I just hope it is not a dealer added option...not that I don't like our techs at our dealership, cause they are very respected guys...I just perfer it come from the factory.

 

This doesnt make sense, according to Road and Track they claim that the MR has a new Turbo and more.

Also, does anyone know if the MR is going to be like the RS in the sense that it will have no power windows, power locks, or radio?

from what i understand isn't the MR 300 pounds lighter.. 6 speed.. better suspension ( yeah i know its hard to vision )... bigger turbo and injectors and such??? new rims too i belive

 

no the MR is not 300lbs lighter, it is going to be approx 30 lbs lighter. But where the weight is taken off is very important. From the top of the car(aluminum roof) and the unsprung weight in the wheels mainly.

People what you are seeing is an addition to the 6spd, bilstiens, and so on. These are the ACCESORIES of the MR....not standard features. Big difference...what I am taking from this is that the dealer may be installing this package.

 

Think about it this way. Everything NOT shaded in gray will be stuff that will come on from the factory. The VAP packages are things that may or maynot be installed "in port" which means by Mits people at the port of origin, not necessarly by the dealer.

My guess is that you will see them arrive with the VAP stuff on them if you want it. It is not something that the dealer is going to put on.

I believe they are moving to this, rather than having the dealer install the accessories.
