no word as of yet on my end... the ship date has been pushed back a bit too. the first batch of MR's are said to be shipped out September 25th.. i'll post it as soon as I have word on the price.
Just an FYI for SoCal Evo buyers...stay the f**k away from SM Mitsu. You will get screwed on your trade in and new purchase. Not to mention the service dept. is the biggest rip off in all of SoCal. These guys left a lug loose on my right front, wheel came off while taking a 405 on ramp. They absolutely refused to pay for any of the damages, and blamed me for the lug being loose. Torrance and Long Beach Mitsubishi are a much better bet. Sorry to hijack you thread dude, but your place blows

Wait a second. I remember you. I also remember you demanding the retail value for your trade-in. LOL. Didn't you want our car a few grand below invoice to boot? I don't know one businessman in the right state of mind or even in the wrong state of mind who would take that deal. How do you think your parents pay for that roof over your head? -By not doing things as you requested from us.
You knew what type of vehicle you were getting yourself into, therefore, you should know what to expect as far as the cost for maintenance goes.
The error by the mechanic? Mechanics aren't robots. Mechanics are human beings just like yourself. Just like the professional race car driver that totaled his car during the million dollar race after years of training. When I used to own a Mercedes, I took it into service one day and I get back only to find out my bumper had been pulled off during the parking of my vehicle. I didn't blame them. **** happens, what can ya do. I still took it back to them for every service.
Moving on...
What really "blows", as you stated, are people like yourself whom do not know how to deal with their problems as they arise. In result of this bottled up negativity, you go ahead and take it out on others. Not to mention, your "if one person does it wrong, they all do" mentality is not very healthy. All of this will get you nowhere in life other than the lower tax bracket and into The Stagnant Growth Club.
Good luck, bro.

Anyone know what colors the '05 RS is going to be available in? Any words if the HID lights will be available?
It just maybe the buy of the year... basically the mechanicals of the MR minus the 6sp, as well as the handling dynamic minus the blisteins...
And probably alot cheaper, let alone lighter.
Man, I'm really confused now... was thinking MR, in fact i'm first on my list for my state, but what I want is a kick in the pants every time I turn the key.

Hey pjork-master,
i see ur leaning toward the RS now
I think they will only be out in white and red, same as 04. HID will be an option for the normal EVO. its an easy add on if u really want it on an RS.
Hey, does anyone know when the 05 RS is coming out????

MR 600,
I am one confused hombre right now.
I guess the only thing with the RS is how 'raw' of an experience do I want.
I'm really starting to wonder if the MR edition premium... and yeah, the Grey paint is sweet, and not tinkering with the suspension and driving off the lot with a sweet setup is great... but, is it really worth it?
I just need to see the MSRP... hell the GSR maybe a better deal if I don't want to be too extreme...
But how awesome would it be to reproduce the Xtreme SC?
No idea on the release of the '05 RS... was hoping for more colors, if I go that way.
At least I can wait and see for now... choices can be a biznatch at times.

I hear you man, i am # 3 on the list here for the MR. but i just cant justify paying that much more for the MR with only the few extras it includes. had it been like the JDM version, then i would be all over it.
with the $7K i save, i am going to get all the MR add ons (front and rear lights, vortex) plus race recaro seats, lighter SSR wheels and coilover suspension or MR) and still have $$ to put all the basic bolt ons.

Coilover $2000
CD Player $200
Power window $400
Power door lock $300
Remote keyless entry $200
Power exterior mirror $300
Fog light $200
ABS $1000
HID healights $500
C/F Spoiler $750
Leather Wrapped Parking Brake Lever (price unknown missing from RS)

Electronic Brake Distribution (EBD) (price unknown missing from RS)
I don't think your $7k can get you far. One more thing, your warranty will be voided.
Hey chantaiman51,
I have to agree that ABS/EBD not being available on the RS is a big deal, but really in essence all you have to do to match the MR... saying you don't want the power items, convenience items, or the leather items... since the seats are the same and I think MR 600 just wants more aggressive support... are the following:
Works/Zeal suspension - 2800
Lighter wheels - 2000-3000.
Lights - Rear 400, Front 500.
Now if the ABS and EBC could be added I'd pay the money, but you have money to burn for new brakes, exhaust, xede... etc.
And really with the suspension change and the lighter wheels, the RS will be a better handling automobile... outside of braking distances.
Again, its the cost of money... is the MR really worth x dollars to someone?... and how raw you want to go.

Hey MR 600,
Heard of any dates for the '05 RS coming it? if it's later than the MR, 'cause of needing a ride, I may be forced to get the MR....
But, life has a wierd way of working things out.
Regardless... even if I get an MR, my next project car will be an RS. I'll wait, get a used '05 in a year or two... preferrably without mods...
And then make one sick machine.... I want the Xtreme VII SC, but I'll try to make the next best thing.
