We're doing a market survey for our dealership here at Santa Monica Mitsubishi. Our order has been put in for 30 '05 EVO's. What do you guys want? You want 29 MR's and 1 RS? All GSR's and 1 MR? What are you guys looking for? The new technical suspension aspect of the 2005's, the weight aspect, the comfort aspect, or is it MR all the way? Everyone's participation is greatly appreciated.

GSR w/ Leather...if i cant have a convertible, i gotta have a sunroof and leather is a plus. tho the MR is sweet.

None of the above. If you order 30+ Evo 8s you'll probably end up selling them at whoelsale prices to other dealers. People would be more likely to wait for the Evo 9 by 2005. But since you're ready to place an order...it would be 5 MRs, 5 RS', and 20 GSRs. Most people who are insterested in the Evo stress performance more than comfort...wait, what comfort?

 

The GSR doesn't come with 6-speed.

 

If you want performance over comfort, why get more GSR's?

When mentioning comfort, I was referring to the Sun+Sound package on the GSR (Leather). They've been pretty popular recently.

dizzigidat, how many costumers wanted 04 models w/leather? if the demand was high enough I would get like 7 gsr's w/leather, 7 without, 6 RS's and 10 MR's

 

I'm currently thinking about an EVO but I wonder i f I should wait for the '05 - when are you expecting those orders to start rolling in? MR looks good to me...

 

Since we've gotten the '04s, the leather's have been pretty good sellers... maybe it's because we didn't have a large enough RS inventory? I don't know... But as far as the GSR compared to the GSR w/ leather goes, the one's with leather have sold more. At this dealership, at least.

 

Last I heard, they were supposedly arriving the third week of September...

 

I don't live in Cali, but when I finally turn of age next March, I'm going for a plain jane GSR; I don't need leather, I do need power windows and stuff, and I don't need an extra 5 grand of add ons that could be better spent on the engine. That in turn eliminates the GSR leather, RS, and MR.

Will the 05' gsr be available w/ the sunroof but w/o the leather like it was in 03'? Or is it going to stay a package deal?

 

Yea.. you'll be able to get the sunroof without the leather on the '05 GSR's. You'll have to get a package though. There are two different packages you can get with this particular model:

Package One: Infinity Sound + Sunroof

Package Two: Infinity Sound + Leather + Sunroof + HID Headlights & Fog Lights
