Oh cool, thanks, Bear.
Mitsu's site says the MR weighs 3285 lbs. in the specs section. Must be a typo, because that's more than a regular Evo, and all the magazines have been saying 3085 lbs., like this one:

Isn't a typo. Believe it. There is no way the 2005 MR weighs 90 pounds less than the 2004 RS. Period.
The 2005 MR is 3285 pounds. Expect the regular VIII to be 3300-3310lbs, and about 3350lbs with the sunroof. Expect the 2005 RS to be awfully close to 3200lbs.

Here are the specs from mitsu's site for the '04 Evos:
Evo RS: 3175 lbs.
regular Evo w/o sunroof: 3263 lbs.
regular Evo w/ sunroof: 3321 lbs.
I'm surprised the '05 MR weighs more than the '04 Evo w/o sunroof. I guess the extra weight from the 6-speed and ACD are more than the savings from the aluminum roof and BBS wheels.

Those are non-usdm evos. Our 03-04 GSRs (non RS base models) weigh in at 3263, I think it is due to structural changes made for safety (crash test) regulations.
The 05 evos weigh more due to the addition of ACD, and the 6 spd as well for the MR. It bothers me that our 03-04 Evos still weighed so much without even having ACD and AYC while the other markets got both of those + optional 6spd and hardly broke 3000lbs!
