Hehe, its like how they sell "paling lotions" in Asia to make your skin paler.

Dunno, I think cause I grew up in America, I don't like Asian girls who are too pale... was never into pale girls, even though I'm Asian too.

Ok, enough with the history lesson.
To the guys who don't think this is enough of a change between the 8 and 9. Look at the V & VI and other early variations. Cars with the same chassis look similar. Maybe were just too used to the more recent and more drastic visual differences of the VII and VIII's, as far as same chassis visual differences between models. The VII and VIII was an extreme.
Yeah, but I don't think they've ever used the same chassis for more than 2 iterations of the Evo. The only other time they used the same chassis twice was for the Evo5/6, so I would expect a new chassis... but Mitsu's financial crisis could also be a fair reason to not develop a new chassis, yet. Especially if the EvoX is supposed to be the bigger, badder, newer one (new engine, new chassis, etc) then they might wait till then.

Ah

Yeah, maybe they'll make some minor tweaks to the chassis? I think we may see a smaller, lighter evo in the future. This seems to be what most people want. And small cars are apparently making a comeback or something. What do you think?

I definitely think the Evo has gotten porkier with the CT9A chassis (didn't it gain like 200 lbs from the Evo6->Evo7?) But it has also gotten more "techy" at the same time.. now if we could have the best of both worlds....

Evo 4/5/6 used the same chassis
Evo 7/8 and probably 9 will use the same chassis as well.

Evo10 should be totally different.

The US really needs to make euro style liscense plates, or variations in shapes so we can better fit them on our cars (especially on the front). Speaking of which , I'm glad to see they didnt relocate the liscense plate area to the trunklid (as I saw on the other IX concept w/ ralliart style headlights). If we get an Evo 9 looking like the pics that are posted in this thread, I think I just might trade my 03 in for one.

See, that's the strange thing...Japanese license plates are the same shape as ours...I question these pics based on this fact.

Most regular Euro plates are huge. However in some countries you can get the same plate in US dimensions. Also stick-on plates are sometimes available which are cool.

Interesting point above about the rear bumper and the Japanese plates - so are the pics of a Euro spec car or what is up with these pics?

I think the pictures are just (well done) photoshops. Why would Mitsu be testing the Evo IX in bright yellow with no cladding or duct tape to disguise it? Doesn't make any sense...

Actually, the Evo4 was on the CN9A chassis, and the 5/6 were on the CP9A chassis. Similar, but not quite the same.

IMO, it still looks way too similar to the 8. It even uses the same wing (which has NEVER been done before). The only differences I can see are the rear diffuser, and the front bumper, which even isn't all that different. I still call BS on these pics, but maybe I'll eat my words later...
