Question Not boosting with Utec installed

I just install a Utec into my car. The car will not boost over 15psi. I opened the abc up 2 turns and that did nothing. When i switch the utec to 0 the car will spike to 20psi then level out to around 17psi. Does anyone know whats up with this?

The '0' mode is for pass thru "stock mode". At this setting, it runs at the factory settings.

Go to your stage II map and you will see fuel, timing, and boost. Go to the Boost section and you should see 75 on most of the map, change it to 85 and make runs until you see where your boost is at. You will have to keep chainging that value until you hold 20 spi up top.

If you did not modify the boost map I suggest looking at it. It's possible tables have preset numbers in them already. Running other peoples maps is a no no, but I guess you already know that.

Yes I would close the ABC that you have opened and play with the percentages in the boost map. Get as close as you can to your target first and see if that works. If it seems that you are over your target then get a little under your target boost level then open the ABC a little until you get there. I was able to hit 25psi and taper to 21-22 with the ABC closed.

I think this was probably already mentioned, but I noticed the same thing, only 17 psi.. Its because the current stage 2 map seens to run at 75% duty which on their car with their ABC adjustments ran at 20psi.. In your case its running lower.. On my car theres portions of the map set to 100%, 90% etc.. you'll have to bump your maps slightly to hit your target.

Just so you know.. these maps are tuned to be conservative so not every car will react the same way.

Go get a boost leak test, that'll eliminate some problems.
