CEL help - P0234 code while tuning UTEC

I was tuning my newly installed UTEC last night and i got a check engine light. I went to autozone today to borrow their scan tool and it showed a P0234 code - Engine Overboost condition. BadassCR's list of error code shows the DTC P0234: to be a Turbocharger Wastegate System Malfunction. I reset the battery and the CEL is gone.

I am using my ProfecB Spec2 to control boost and during that run it showed a peak of 1.34kpa of boost. My boost gauge was holding steady at 19 psi. Any ideas on why i got that CEL code?

I think we talked about this already.. Its either the boost solenoid was disconnected, or likely the boost ramped faster than the factory ECU wanted, and couldn't actuate the the solenoid to cut boost, and triggered the error..

That happens to me when I'm running passthrough on my car and the car isn't completely up to temp.

Reset it, see if it comes back.. If it comes back all the time, look at the snapshot it grabs and see what it was doing at the time it grabbed the code.

It's not the map You should have called, I might have been able to point in the right direction. Anyways, hows the map working out for you, and how was that drive back from Africa?

yea the map is awesome Jon, pulls like a bat outtahell. I just need to smooth out the powerband, because there is a slight hesitation when the UTEC takes over at 35% throttle. Feels like i'm spraying NOS.

Can you ask him what a p0108 is? Its some kind of Barometric fault code. Its related to the map sensor. Some kind of high input error.
