Manifold Absolute Pressure. Not being the last word in tuning, I'll give it my best shot. By monitoring air pressure at the intake manifold you eliminate all the variables that are downstream of the inlet filter, i.e. piping, the MAF sensor, turbo, etc.. This provides a more steady state condition allowing more flexibility in tuning as you are tuning against (or with) more constant values.

This is most likely totaly wrong, so let the flaming begin!

How do you like Datalogit? Where did you get it? Thanks

The Datalogit can be purchased @RX7.com. for about $400.
I have the PFC+commander and the Datalogit software for about $1400 total, but I have no one to help tune, so I drive it around wasting gas cause it runs rich with the maps they send you. I have a wideband O2 and a laptop, but I would rather some else show me how to tune it. It looks pretty cool but, If I cant tune it, I will probably sell it.

I didnt see this before, but figured I would respond. I called RP a long while ago to see if they would tune my PFC, but they do not touch anything that isn't a rotary I was told.

They are Power Excel dealers but they only work on Rotaries. It is good that they know their limitations. Each dealer and tuner shoudl know theire limits to avoid damaging anyone's car and they are responsible enough to do so at Rotray Performance.
Karash, if you use the datalogit, it does have launch control and it does feature outputs which you can use for the nitrous or water injection.

Odd question here, but I've got a friend who owns a shop and he's recomending the PFC + Datalogit software to replace my XEDE + ECU with XEDEflash. Can the PFC be used to drive the stock boost controller? Are there any specific issues I will run into if I conver the car over?

The PFC does have a boost control module that you can buy, but it is optional (ie more money). Most people that I have chatted with on the PFC state that the module is not a very good one. So I went with their AVC-R which is one hell of a boost controller.

Dan, I do not have the dataloggit software yet, but planning on getting it this year. From what I understand, the PFC does not have n2o or launch control.
