the gauge was tapped into the factory wiring harness (still is). Where to tap into next?

Where you are should be correct. I would try taking it off and checking if the connection is good. That is all I can think of right now. I just dont think the UTEC will effect a low voltage reading input from the o2 sensor.

Thanks, turned out to be a loose wire. Problem fixed and everything is irking fine.
