I have to agree that my first impression is one of skepticism, not because the J&S unit doesn't work as advertised (apparently it does), but because due to the nature of hysteresis, once detonation occurs, a greater amount of ignition retard is required to eliminate it than would be required to avoid it in the first place.

 

There is no knock system that can predict when knock occurs,from what i understand, J&S system can detect knock that human ear cant..

This was only an exaggerating example what you could do and NOT ruin your engine!

But you can....that is the point. J&S will always keep the ignition on the edge of dett, and that is where the power is.

It is veeery easy to install. It is not PNP, but it is very very easy to install.

And it works, not like OEM unit.

 

i went to there website and there no instuction for the EVO!

if there is a failsafe for the autronic , i am chucking out the stocker tom.
