I just got a zex wet kit to help spool my turbo on the drag strip. In the direction is says that you can't run a "Chip" in the ECU because it adds timing, and if anything you should pull timing. So if just pulled a little timing of my normal map would i be ok?

 

Well, I don't run nitrous in my car, but tuning nitrous is just like tuning for higher boost, so pulling a little timing is what you would normally do. Since I don't use nitrous, I don't have any real guidelines or suggestions. It may also not be necessary to remove timing in some circumstances.

Remember, the nitrous kits are usually generic so their instructions are for the typical install. You will have to tune for this though obviously.

im thinking about doing the same thing. what are the risks to running nitrous with the utec? better yet with the evo? i can probably guess why you want to do this....ELEVATION SUCKS!!!!

i am having the same problem. i want to get a gt35r kit but it will probably spool like crap at our elevation. i dont know what to do, either try the kit with nitrous or stick with something alot smaller like the buschur 20g.
