My UTEC is not showing any Knock in the knock column. Does this mean I don't have any, or is something wrong?

 

well...make it knock and you will know if its working

Yes, it is. Are you using hyperterminal or UCC for logging?

You will only get numbers in the knock column if there are knock events. Its nice to have nothing showing because it makes it easier to spot when there is knock.

Do I need to have the tuner hooked up to detect knock or does the UTEC use the ECU wiring harness to connect to the knock sensor. I feel like I should be getting zeros in my Knock column at least, assuming everything is hooked up right. I guess I am somewhat paniced since we have 91 oct. gass here and I didn't get any knock with TurboXS's Stage 1 map. But the exhaust note sounded significantly different.

 

You don't need the tuner to detect knock through the factory sensor.
