safc2 solution for EIDS
safc2 solution for EIDS
I have an 03 evo and like most 03's if i turn the air conditioning on or go from high to low rpms really fast i stall. I have been thinking about purchasing EIDS to solve this problem. However i was wondering if tweaking with the idle on a SAFC if that would accomplish the same effect. Anyone know if this will work?
i have that same setup u got and that hks edis will help with the a/c as much it will help the car from dieing on you but if you got cams it wont help u keep idel up. just get a reflash and redo the a/c fan speed and get some type of grounding kit.
i dont have cams, i have tried a grounding kit but i didnt notice anything. Flashes are okay but i i know alot of people like the SAFC2 as well as myself. Also how would i redo the a/c fan speed. I have never heard of anyone doing this.
Anyone with a AFC2 corrected this problem??

You can run the SAFC and the EIDS together. I am. The SAFC functionality that is supposed to work like the EIDS does not work. I tried this to start out with and quickly purchased the EIDS unit. EIDS does its job very well.

I've run them both in conjunction for 25K miles with no issues. These devices adjust the voltage of the signal on wire which the ECU detects as the air/fuel ratio from the MAF and the throttle signal. If either device was screwing up the voltage my car would not run at all or would run terribly.
The EIDS has a very simple process for what it does, when you let off the throttle, it simulates a signal. You can actually see the value on the SAFC as 1-2% throttle indication (if you increase or decrease the EIDS settings it will vary this voltage).
