Go check the subbie for sale boards, they're all selling them and saying how much they hate them.

Frankly, I don't think that Nathan, Jermaine and the MD gang have any control over this and thus posting here would basically say again something like "I don't know."

So why don't we go straight to the source?

Perhaps we should send e-mail straight to the Australian software developers to point out the existence of this thread with 300+ posts of customers hungry for customer service, and ask for a release date or any update info. Or maybe even call them, if an EvoM user wants to do that.

Yeah, but those are subaru owners.. Hehe.. j/k.. The subie guys have had some issues with the WRX units very early on and seem to hold a grudge forever.

Yeah, I was saying why would the EVO take the back seat to Subaru when they don't even like the UTEC

I had this long drawn out post about this, but EvoM had a database problem and it didn't save.. anyway the Jist of the post was that being in business means they will focus primarily on the products that have the most potential sales volume. There are only around 30,000 Evo's, About 10,000 9's (so you probably won't see an IX utec for awhile if at all) And several hundred thousand WRX's and STI's, and I think the production numbers for the 350z were also several hundred thousands, so if you get a 2% market share... Its more wortwhile to focus on the higher volume cars. Statistically you have to figure out how many of those cars will be modified, then of that percentage, how many are interested in tuning the car themselves and the features that are available. Certainly not an easy endeavor. But for as selfish as I am about the Evo, I have a realistic outlook on business and that you will get the higher profile products complete first, and the "Current customers" will end up waiting a bit since its the features for products that will make large volume of new sales will take the front seat.

Its unfortunately economics... Even in the car scene..

I know three WRX STi UTEC owners, personally, that have had the UTEC literally burst into flames in their cars causing all sorts of damage. TurboXS blamed them for the failures stating that it was wired incorrectly, which wasnt true. Besides, how the hell do you mess up a straight plug and play wiring system. WRX users also have a better option via Ecutek tools that dont work properly on the Evo; since out OBD-II port is so damn slow.

im getting tired of this crap, i think its time for me to move on. I have a huge turbo going on my car and there is know way i can beat around the bush with this waiting. 600whp is not going to be achieved with the TurboXS Utec as it stands. Im going on Vacation next week, if there is nothing out after i get back then mine is up for sale!

1. Do we know of ANY Evo owners that have hade theirs catch fire or blow up ? I don't. (I'm not referring to simple unit failure.)

2. I only remember of one guy having trouble (Gestalt?) and they helped him out, from what I remember.

3. The only issue at this point is the Speed Density upgrade, correct? Don't get me wrong, I understand your frustration level.

4. Malibu, or any others that have had success with the UTEC - is it still doing what it originally claimed to do?

5. Throwing up your hands in defeat doesn't help anything (you guys that have to move on because of the lack of Speed Density, have got to do what you have got to do, more power (and luck to) you - sincerely. There are other ways to do what you need to do as we all know. Sorry to see anyone go though.

6. The Squeaky Wheel Gets the grease.

I'm probably not going to speed density after much thought. It's the shiz I'm sure, but I think that I have found my plateau. I might after a year or two when and if I get bored, but I have other mods that I need to get straight or install first.

The reason that I say all that is that, If I were interested in getting the SD feautre with the UTEC, I would start a grass roots movement of calm, rational, cogent and relentless communications with the home office.

I'll gladly add my name to the list because I believe it is in the best interest of the whole UTEC Community.

They have to stand behind their original offer to us. Their promise was for further developement. Regarding their disinterest in supporting the Evo UTEC, Decisions that are made by people can be changed by people.

We just have to give them a good reason.

Thoughts?

I'm still waiting for them to reply to my email.

I probally won't sell my UTEC now, being how I just got it and i've still got alot of room for improvement. The MAF won't get in my way untill I get a new turbo which will be in May or later so they've got some time in my book
