best form of tuning

ok guys heres what i need.....first off i was planning on purchasing these items in the near future mbc, safc-II, boost, egt, and a/f guages(these add up) , i also plan on buying cams and cam gears with in the next few months. but then i was thinking im going to need a fuel pump some time soon, so would i be better off getting a base flash then tune other mods with the safc? i guess what i need to know is what would be the best route to go for tuning, i cant afford a standalone not that i need one now anyways but i need a way to tune and dont wanna keep sending in or driving to have my ecu reflashed. what should i do , and by the way i did search and found some stuff but would like a little more detail.

thanx,

cass

as dyno flash said tuning with a afc, is like throwing a rock at a bear, something to that effect... in other words, just do a mail in flash, or do the smart thing and install all the parts at once, and get it tuned.. youll save money and have a good running car, and wont have to worry if its tuned right..

Would you consider ECU+ instead? That to me seems like the best idea.

I don't have ECU+ myself but I sure am planning to get one real soon...

What other mods are on the car now. Do you have an exhaust and intake?
Install all the parts at once and get it flashed for the mods.A fuel pump should be installed with the mods you have listed.I would hold off on the gears/egt gage (some will argue this) till a later date and get a lower ic pipe or a 10.5 hot side.

well, if you have safc, but not some kind of a/f wideband monitor or logger, then you can't fine tune your setup..

This is very good advice and for those with access to a wide band and a little skill the base flash and SAFC are a very good combination

Of course - fo those who want a totally hassel free situation the base flash alone gets great results

Having the SAFC on top allows you to dial it in for max performance for your car and adjust for varying fuels

OF COURSE - running the SAFC WITHOUT the base flash does not yield very good results as the ignition timing does bad things

Good point

You CAN NOT LOG off the factory o2 sesnor

YOU NEED a true wdieband o2 sesnor to make a accurate and safe adjustment with the SAFC

Luckily the prices have come down really low lately

I sell the LM1 widebands so cheap its crazy

I cant post the price PM me for a quote
