Help with a map
I can not figure out why my car is running so lean or atleast to me it is running lean. The more fuel I add to a map the leaner it gets. The more boost I run the richer it gets. I tried to run a base map off of turboxs and work from there but it keeps telling me error when I try to load it. So I did a pull on map 0 with 19.5lbs and the map is attached. My mods are listed in my sig and these pulls were done on pump without alky.
Thanks
Dan
Thanks
Dan
Well to me its running lean in the 3.5 to 5.5k range and also you injectors are maxed out up top, where you are running rich try to pull some fuel from 6.1-7.6k. Thats what I would do.

Does anyone have any ideas why my UTEC won't let me load a new map, like I can edit the ones on there already and I can log and do everything else but everytime I go to load a new map it stops at 8% and tells me error. I just don't get it.
What firmware version is your UTEC running? The manual mentions map incompatibility between versions...

Ok...here is the quote from the manual:
"Open loop fueling sets the UTEC’s open loop fuel control. You have
the choice of piggybacking off the stock ECU (OLF off) or using
standalone fuelling cbased off the utec’s background MAF vs. RPM table.
When OLF is set to “on” you are using the UTEC’s background map. This
background map is designed as a base tune for a standard stage 1 or 2
EVO 8. It is designed to run roughly 11:1 AFR under load with “0”
entered into the base fuel map. Having a stable background map that is
already somewhat tuned should allow you to concentrate on fine tuning
your EVO rather then spending long hours dialing in your AFR. For this
reason you can not use OLF with any maps that were
created using the old software! "
So it looks like that is probably not your issue. If you are using HyperTerminal, you could make sure it's set to VT100, 19200 bits per second, 8 bit, no parity, one
stop bits, no flow control...
