LCM means launch control? Man, that makes so much sense. I'm going to go turn it off and see if that fixes the problem. Man do I feel dumb.

Here's another thing though, I get the launch control noises while I'm still under full throttle at times. I do have a tendancy to let my foot rest on the clutch pedal in between shifts. Is that enough pressure to engage the clutch switch, turning on the launch control?

If that's it, I'm a moron. Thanks for the help everyone.

I don't remember how sensitive the clutch switch was, but that's a very good possibility. I'd still do a boost leak test since it sorta sounded like you're leaking somewhere, thus causing a lot of fuel going into the engine and breaking up the spark (sounds like 2step). But yea, go turn off that launch control (put in 0 in parameters), and report back. If you still get that 2 step sound during full throttle, it is most definately a boost leak somewhere.

It didnt take much to have the flat foot shifting thing go active while driving on my car. Just having your foot on the clutch will, sometimes, set it off. I only ever enabled that feature at the track.

Oh yeah! I had that happen a few times when I had launch control active, the switch actuates so easily that any time your foot rests on the clutch pedal too hard it kicks in. I just assume nobody is using it right now, or ruled that out.

No worries Jack, thanks for the input.

I disabled the launch control, and sure enough, car is running beautifully.

I'm still trying to figure out the cut though. Do you think that my fuel cut like symptoms were related (I couldn't reproduce it today)? Or do you think that my turning off the MAF fuel cut and/or raising it to 3000 Hz just wasn't working for one reason or another?

Well, I doubt its hitting 3000hz, but maybe you have the boost cut configured also?

Boost cut? As opposed to fuel cut? I haven't seen anything in there about that. I'll have to take a look. If I'm not having the Utec control boost, is that even relevant?
