MAP sensor problem

well my car runs peak boot at about 22.5 then it tappers off....and my map sensor would always read 20.5 so it was about 2 lbs less no biggie but all of a sudden last week my boost is still 22.5 but its no reading 14.5 big diffrence......its off by about 8lbs now.....i dont understand ..... im here in miami FL it did get really hot and sticky here all of a sudden but should that cause that much of a diffrence in pressure reading??? or did my sensor take a crap.....its reading 8lbs less than it should all the way to redline....any feedback?

Yes, if it's a GM MAP sensor. Their quality is not that great.
Hope you still have your receipt.

If it's a leak your boost gauge would also be affected (showing less boost).
What kind of sensor do you have?
Is there any way to recalibrate it?
