Shift Light Install
I have seen people use the shift lights with the UTEC via leds but I wasn't to sure how you go about hooking them up exactly. I would like to know if anyone out there has this done and if so how did you go about it. If not I guess I will be experimenting till I get it right. I don't see this being a very hard proceedure.

aright cool and all you need to do is plug them into the UTEC, are there specific ports on the UTEC itself for this, its been a while since I have had the UTEC out of my car...
There is a detailed diagram in the UTEC manual on page #57 (make sure it's the current manual)
The supplied larger white molex connector has a red (#7 pin position) and a black wire (#1 pin position).
Hold the connector so that the wires are comming out the side that you are looking at, with the little clip on the top. the red and black wires should be to on the right side, with the red wire on top.
ground for light 1 goes to pin #9
ground for light 2 goes to pin #8
light 3 goes to pin #3 (in other words, right under light 1 pin#9)
All 3 power lines need go to a switched 12v source. If you want to, you can fab up a cable with (three) smaller wires for each light that splice into a larger wire that then runs to a power tap. That way you just have a single tap to deal with.
I tapped into the power line that runs to my turbo timer, so that I didn't have to put a 2nd tap into the OEM wiring.

with the pins, did you just jam the wire into it, or did you buy the little connectors that go in it, I just went to install it, it has power but I think the connection for the ground via the UTEC is not working...
