I really like the turbosmart bov. Its a dual port and comes with a plate to block the vta side if you dont want the noise. Its adjustable, holds boost well, and the color matches the head. Kinda pricy but in my opinion, worth it.
For a direct replacement I have had experience with the Turbosmart and the Forge Motorsports. The Forge is REALLY popular and works great. For $169 you cant really go wrong there. I do not have any experience with the APS.

now this seemed like a good place to ask, but whats better to have, a atmospheric bov or just keep the stock bov. i like the noise of the dump but is it really necessary and does it add or take away HP.???
Your stock IX BOV is awesome. We used to upgrade to those on VIIIs, because our stocker was plastic. It's good up to 25psi. After that, then get a Forge RS if you end up pushing more than 25psi.
Do not go atmospheric - that is very bad for our MAF-equipped Evos. BOVs don't add HP and don't take away HP. Their purpose is to hold boost without leaking.

a crushed 1G is also a good daily driving dv, will hold at least 24 psi of boost from what i,m told and no flutter(great driveability,,I would stick with the jdm mr,or forge rs. i,ve heard good things about the aps but never experienced one so i couldnt tell you how it works.IMO its the mr, forge rs,or crushed1G,GOOD LUCK
