I was told not to relfash...

I went to one of the ONLY import shops near my city, and i got my TBE/ HKS CNTI on... anyways he got in a big argument about how i shouldnt relfash my ecu, i should just get a greddy emagage. He said that i couldent run the car on a daily drive mode with a reflash. He also said that he could get more power out of a greddy emanage? All i am asking is if i can run a daily drive mode with a reflashed ecu? Or should i just do a greddy ultimate?

of course you can daily drive your car with a reflash! there are 1,000's of flashed evos driving daily everyday without a hiccup. the emanage costs more and there have been reports of the evos coils failing when using it to control ignition timing. you can't go wrong using the factory ecu without piggybacks.

Is he a greddy salesman or something? Flashes are fine. He prolly just wants more of your business and doesnt have flashing technology

Somebody wants to sell you something. I bet $100 it is RZ Motoring in Tampa or Orlando.

What a joke.

Send me a PM if interested in a custom Road Tune reflash or one on the dyno. We are local to you.

i've heard of a few tuners in FL that have flashing capabilities, the one telling you about the emanage probrably doesn't, hence his preference. what part of FL are you in? even if you can't find one, you can always do a mail-in flash and sometimes al from dynoflash makes trips down south for custom tunes, check in the dynoflash forum.

That's one of the dumbest things I've heard yet. Tell that guy to log on here and make those comments in public, then tell him to look at all the 11- and 12-second flashed Evos that drive daily without the slightest of problems. The E-manage is one of the worst devices to use on an Evo, so that guy's a toolbag.

Flashes are far superior to piggy backs as well, espeically if you are just starting out. With the choices out there you should have no problem with getting a flash. You can get them through email/mail and even custom tuned. Research TurboTrix, DynoFlash and AMS and decide what you want to do.

i also mentioned i was going to buy a forge MBC and he was like No0o0o0o!!11... He said it would fck up my turbo or motor or somthing of that sort. He said the only way he would run a MBC is if he had some kind of sensors, and he said i would have to constantly go under the hood to check on it...

I dunno if i should buy MBC now or not?(lil off topic buy o well) Help? Thx

MBC's are great as long as you're using it just to eliminate taper and hold a steady 19-20 psi. i probrably wouldn't go beyond 20 without a walbro 255lph fuel pump and a tune.

Sent you a PM on our schedule as well as pricing on the products you were interested in.

Forge Unos is a great MBC. If you want, I can give you a tour of Forge when you're out here.

He can run 21psi on stock fuel pump if he wants. They are upgraded over the Evo8's fuel pump.

sorry, i didn't know the IX had a different pump. i've heard of people running up to 22 on the VIII's stock pump, but for safety's sake, i'd stay around 20. anyway, this discussion is way off topic.

2003-2005 have a Denso 195130-3360 and the 2006 has a 195130-3570 which is a slight improvement. I have most upgrade to the walbro 255lph HP regardless. No need to push your luck.
