launch control

launch control

i am getting re tuned and was wondering what rpms to have the launch control set at. i currently have it set at 4600 but i was thinking about raising it to 5000. any suggestions or comments on where you launch from??

5000 is still to low. mine is at 6100

thanks for the post, after reading through it i will prob go with 5500, but any future input will still be great. i dont really race from a dig very often, but i def do not want to have to replace my clutch again.

I did some extensive testing on the street recently, stock clutch and mods in the sig:

I started at 4000 and worked my way up in 100rpm increments until the car didn't bog and didn't roast the tires.. just a few chirps and she's gone.

What I found was that 5200 is where it quit bogging on the street, however, when I got on a stickier surface the car would bog. I ended up at 5500 and thus far it rarely bogs and never spins much. I imagine each car is going to be different due to tire brands and road surfaces, so some experimenting may still be necessary. Happy tuning.
