Is it even possible to setup the stock maf in blow through?

Does anyone know what the HP record for an evo using the maft?

I don't think Karmann Vortex mass air sensors work that well in a blowthrough setup, too much turbulence will cause sporadic readings.

I don't know what the record is, but I am @ 400hp/400tq on the stock turbo using the maft pro and 3" GM MAF sensor.

its definitely possible, but like someone said before, the boosted air might be to turbulent for the sensor to accurately get readings

not sure if the one guy is serious or not.....but:
a blow-through maf set-up is when the MAF sensor it ran in the upper intercooler pipe instead of in the intake to the turbo

Here's what my setup looks like under the hood. Notice the MAF placement, the full 4" intake pipe and the piping (dejon tool).

its been done to the tune of 600whp. I would blow through the stock maf ten times before using a gm setup. I have tuned a few of the gm setups. i am not at all impressed with the conversion tales. Getting the a/f spot on in all conditions is lost when you convert to the gm setup.

So you're saying you'd prefer to use the stock maf in blow through?

I understand the downsides of running blowthrough such as innaccuracy when comparing to the normal maf, but I've never heard or seen anyone even attempt to run the stock maf in blow through.

When you say you'd "blow through the stock maf ten times", I read it as you'd prefer to run the stock maf in blow through rather than the GM, but I've never seen anyone do it before.

I'm not trying to be a dick, I just want to know if anyones actually put the stock maf in blow through and I wanna see how it performed.

Was there a huge difference in the tune before and after the maft? I'm curious as to how accurate the conversion actually is from the stock to the maft.

Do you have any engine bay pics?

So you just extended the wires for the maf plug and used 2 adapters to run your oem maf in the UICP? I assume the maf should be put before your alky nozzle..

Are you using the maft or the maft pro?
