well, I have gotten custom tuned with John(jester) and things are great
My issue:
My friend wanted to log my ecu on the street to see the knocks and to be safe(since this was tuned on the dyno) he can log, but could not get the map. He thought that it was locked, so we obtained the unlocker from the matrix and tried again. It trys to read, but it is scrambled and all we get is the grey unreadable map...we are stuck.
where do we go from here? I've seen people that had good luck with unlocker, but nothing for us. I'm not paranoid since the log was fine, but not being able to see the ecu mapping sucks.

Any help/advice is greatly appreciated!

 

you should NOT need to dump your ECU to see if it knocks!

sounds like you are trying to "copy" your ROM to someone else?

fyi: I don't think any of the tuning vendors on here lock their ROMS?!?? Maybe you did something wrong?

 

We're just data logging, nothing else sorry if I confused you.

He has different mods then I have, we are curious to see them as we are trying to learn as well.

I'm gonna get reflashed with my next mod once Jestr comes again here, so I'm not overly concerned. Just wanted to see what map looked like.

If you want to see if it knocks than run evoscan or mitsulogger... no reason to bring up the map...

If you absolutley want to see the high octane settings, etc. than contact your tuner and find out if they lock their tunes.
