I have an Evo 9 ECU that my tuner says has been locked by whoever tuned it last. I bought the car like this and was wondering if there is any way to unlock the ECU. My tuner says he doesn't know what program was used to tune the car and doesn't know how to unlock it. Anyone face this problem before?

 

There is a free program called ecu unlocker. You just run it in the background when you attempt to download the rom from your car. Mine was ECUtek locked and this worked for me. Just google ecu unlocker.
