bigger intercooler now getting knock

I got the car tuned by AMS about 2 months ago. Awesome. I just bought a new front mount for the car and did some logs and am getting alot of knock. sometimes 6 to 10. I did not have the cable to log before I put on the intercooler so I am not sure whether the intercooler is causing the knock or not but I was wondering if anyone has experienced this?

thanks

What brand of FMIC is this? I doubt it is causing your entire problem but anything is possible. There are alot of things that could of changed between now and then.

What kind of things could of changed besides the intercooler? there are no boost leaks checked that. The intercooler is the same size as ams`s street core so it is not really big

Size != performance. Quick test is to go back with the intercooler you were tuned for (if you still have it) and see if the knock is still there or not.

There could be several changes such as first your FMIC, just because it is the same size as the AMS FMIC doesn't mean it flows the same. I promise you it doesn't, next easy changes could be fuel quality, air temp, plug quality, weight, oil level several things that could all effect performance and cause just a slight amount of knock. All you can do is test to you find your issue, since you noticed things when you changed the FMIC, you could change it back and compair before and after. If you bought the FMIC on ebay it would be the first thing I tested.
