After Mivec Tune (Service Engine) Light turn on

I just install the HKS Mivec cam in couple weeks ago, and have it tune and dyno. The car pull very smooth and gets good number. Sadly the Service Engine light turn on two day later. The P0300 code "POP" up and I just want to know what will happen with the engine when that code pop up. Good or Bad or Critical codition for the engine, my tuner can't fix it. So now i'm trying to adjust the timing a little bite with a friend hope fully it go away. I need some good advice on this. I need experience help on this case. If i load the stock map of and Evo 9 in will it go away?

WOW...That is the same experience a friend of mine had with his Evo 9. He had it tuned by a famous SoCal tuner and after the tune he had a P0300 code, multiple misfires in all cylinders.

I flashed his car back to stock and it has been a week and the P0300 did not come back. Flash you car back to stock AND reduce your boost to stockish levels. Clear the code with a reader and it should go away.

PM me if you need any help.

Are any numbers in your Mivec map higher than 30?

Then that could be part of the problem. You can input above 30 in the mivec map but it doesn't do anything and can also trigger cels or even mess with the mivec itself.

I would recommend bringing them down to 30 or under.

What ignition timing are you running at idle to make the cams idle?

+1 on changing any mivec over 30 to 30.
