I have an S-AFC not the AFC-II but my settings are in the settings menu, one of the options offscrreen that you have to scroll down to.. I think the order for me is NE-Point, TH-HI, TH-LO, DECEL, and one other that I can't remember.. so its one of the items that you wouldn't see right away..

I didn't use it because i don't VTA, however its use is to compensate the Idle (maf) settings to keep it from stalling.. I'm not certain what the actual values you can add are.. But if you experience stalling due to the BOV Venting (Hitting the gas and letting off suddenly) thats what its for..

I'm actually going to be moving away from using the S-AFC since I will shortly be able to flash my own ECU. I'll probably still use it for interim tuning, but my settings will no longer apply to the majority of us.

I have tryed it several times and I couldn't get it to work at all. If you do have proof of getting it to work let us know and post the settings because I have a TurboXS type H BOV that is VTA and I would love to use it but I don't want to kill the drivablity.

I think the decel-air does not work work our cars (cars that have karmann). It specifically says hot-wire/flapper-or whatever that is.

Do all our settings accomodate the +3% high thr corrections and -1% low thr corrections?

Any dyno tuned settings they wanna share? (again)

Thanx.

MalibuJack,

How are your new LoTH and HiTH settings treating you (daily drivability wise)?

I don't have a boost controller now but I plan to get one soon, so maybe raising the settings like you recommended would be a good move...

Oh hey Vivid, when's my RMR carbon fiber gauge pod coming in, and which one are you? Dan or Mike?
I just switched to AvatarofWars settings and my car is freaking SICK now. I'm not sure it the settings are to aggressive though. I'm hold steady 19.5 PSI till redline with the help of a Greddy Profec Spec B II. My question is what signs will my car show if its hurting? I don't want to blow the motor cause from what I hear these are pretty aggresive settings.

BTW my mods:
94 octane gas
RMR filter
Cusco Industion Arm
Grounding kit
B&B turbo-back

-19% is pretty serious... I'd suggest cutting down on your settings until you can get on a dyno and find out your A/F ratios.

I'm running mine without dynoing, and the highest I got is about -13%, and it's a pretty big jump IMO.

Did you set your knock monitor? Make sure the thing isn't going off like crazy! My knock monitor was spiking like no other when I had just -1% around peak torque (3000-4000rpms). -2% to -4% may make the thing go off even more. It's been suggested to actually ADD fuel around peak torque, rather than subtract fuel..

Be extremely careful with using another car's settings. I have a local customer with full exhaust, full intake, cams and FMIC who has positive numbers; not negative for fuel. He can't run more than about 18.5 before hitting MAF cut. It is wideband tuned for 11~11.5:1.

Yes I would say to run -19 you must have larger injectors., I wouldn't go past -12 till you can get it on a wide band O2. usually -12 will get you to about 11:1 at WOT.

Thanks to the cooler weather, I have to run a pretty conservative tune.. and your right, in some cases adding fuel to avoid a little detonation at peak torque.. Because of the cool dense air, with my new exhaust, even without the fuel computer I'm hitting fuel cut at peak boost (which without a boost controller spikes at 21psi)

Yes, I very well know that will eliminate the problem, but I am waiting on the customer to schedule the next appointment for injectors. As soon as he saw it was going to do that, he said; "OK, let's put those 785's in.".

BTW, is that you, Al? I need to speak with you if so.

I figured that the sensation was due to fuel cut.. at least I feel comforted in knowing that a Injector/Pump upgrade will help..
