I can't quite figure how far you're planning to go on modding, but if it's just a TBE, buy a TBE and then do a mail-in flash from somebody.

You don't have to buy a Cobb exhaust (or intake maybe) if you buy the AP. They said any reputable TBE (like Buschur) will work. As far as the intake, they know theirs works. Others might too, they just don't know because they haven't tested them. I think in time someone like Dynoflash might know when he starts pro-tuning cars.

If the AP isn't for you don't buy it. Take your time and avoid buyer's remorse. Cobb only has 2 stages at this time. If you're planning on something higher I'd avoid the AP because who knows if they'll have more. Paying for a pro-tune for that reason is money out the window IMO. Just forget the AP altogether.
