Are all Stock Ecu's interchangable?

Are all Stock Ecu's interchangable?

Basically I want to know if there is any problems swtiching different year ecu's. Maybe fuel maps might be different, anything else?

yes, your imobilizer number is different so you'll probably have a hard time getting it to start. You have to be a little more specific in your post. What year are we talking about? Evo 8 or 9? ACD or non???

Just wondering if 05+ work in a 03-04 Evo. Don't I just flash it to get it work.

It should work,provided you pull your immob. from the original ecu. I've done it before.

I know this thread is a little old but I was wondering if there is any way of getting the immob from the car if u don't have the stock ecu anymore? I bought my car with aem in it and I'd like to buy a stock ecu just for daily driving purposes..

Sounds stupid - to replace your AEM EMS whit a stock ECU. Why ? If your car have some mods how to take care of them when you "just driving daily".
Know that there can be good reson to do what you ask for, but I cant see them.
But the solution must be to get the Imobiliser and the ECU parred from Mitsubishi when you buy the new one.

Def for DD if just to be able to pass emissions. AEM wont pass the OBDII checks IIRC.

Pretty sure dealer can reprogram your immobilizer on a new ECU, but they wont give you the code to program 1 yourself.
