I have the same year US GSR and the same cable, minus the two, unattached plugs.

I have logged and reflashed my car with just the cable; big black plug goes in the OBD port to the right of the steering wheel under the dash, white plug goes into the sock to the left of that (if you are going to flash; not needed for logging).

I'm guessing the other two plugs are for another application (car). It is possible they are needed for AYC or some other such device the US cars don't have.

The USB end goes into your laptop.

It plugs into your obd.If you look under the steering column off to the right you will see your OBD plug in and that's where it goes. You should'nt need the other two.

I believe 1 if not both of the other two deattached plugs are for Subies... Don't quote me for sure. You shouldn't need them for your application.
