well first off I don't know why you have the HKS ssqv bov. it's a VTA and will cause nothing but problems with your idle and richen you up. As for 500whp, you have a ways to go so I'm not sure why you're asking about it now but it can definately be done on a stock block IX. You can go for something like an HTA 35R and get 500+whp on pump gas with decent spool and decent torque or go with an FP Red with some pump and meth and have great spool and loads of torque. There are plenty of setups out there but I just named two of my favorite.

WE have done several evo IX's over 500 on stock motor.. sure you can make 600whp but dont expect it to last long.. if you dont have money for the built motor youll need even more $$$$ when you blow up the stock motor.. just keep that in mind..

It's very easy to do with some money.. But like Mike said, you will run into longevity issues.

You could keep it a 2 liter and put in pistons / rods and still reach your goals. Like others have mentioned, If you go over 500whp it will just be a matter of when and where, not IF your going to experience failure.

Drop in Manleys, and JE Pistons and your down. For the most part at least.
But judging from your mods I would be working to get out of the 300WHP range before thinking bout 500whp or 600whp

I disagree with this.
I drove my car just over 500whp with my current set up (before my engine build) with no problems for a while. Than when I had the engine built my stock rods and pistons looked perfect. I just built for safety and wanting to run more boost without worry.

I really believe it depends on how you drive the car but mostly your tune. If your not running huge boost and your tune is conservative I think many vendors on here have proven it can be done.

But............Mike@AwdMotorsports is correct....once your pushing 600whp and beyond I can't imagine stock rods and pistons will last very long.

For the meantime, and hopefully to limit the amount of failure you experience, do rod bolts. You wont end up having to look for a block because of boost/rpm induced failure. It does stuff like this:

I wouldn't go over 450whp on a stock block. Yes, people have 600whp+ evo's on the stock block but, 9/10 they will not last. At least get head studs and rod bolts as a minimum.
