Wiring up a knock sensor into an aux jack.

I don't have an Evo but this would certainly pertain to Autotronic since you guys don't have the knock sensor function anymore. I currently have a built Audi A4 running a 034 standalone that also doesn't have knock detection. So I've been toying with the idea of wiring up my knock sensor into an aux jack and from there plugging it into my laptop so that I could listen in for knock. I could actually here everything pretty well but it picks up way to much noise from the rest of the motor....

Has anyone else tried to do this? I've been thinking of using LabVIEW to filter our erroneous noise that isn't knock.

the nice thing about LabVIEW is that i could log everything and have it automatically alert me to knock. It would basically be a cheaper knockbox.

If you can figure out how to send a 5v switch you can have the Autronic retard timing and log the knock event. By using any aux input switch that is open if you have SM4 or use the Anti Lag switch with SMC 1.99 PnP. Good luck keep up the good work
