LC-1 Troubles
LC-1 Troubles
I having troubles with my LC-1 and XD-16. The wideband is show o2 then switch to 20.9 after it does the sensor warm up, I just tried replacing the o2 sensor and got the same ****, I did what it said to do on there quick start guide. Any help would be greatly appreciated.
(I do not have the software or the cables to check for a code, I purchased the car with out it. May get the software and cables this week)
Thanks

LC-1s have some major problems with some of their units. It seems like they either work right or the dont half the time. We had one on our school's formula race car and the damn thing never gave an accurate reading. After sending it back and got a new one, it did the same thing. We just got a different wideband and it worked perfectly, I'd avoid LC-1s
Hmmm your problem sounds like my problem I think. Just recently I went to start up the car and leave and noticed my wideband was taking forever to warm up. After it finally warmed up it would just read 22.9 (maxed out) then go down to 7 and just jump back in between.
I havent had a problem with my lc-1 at all and now this. Im going to try and recalibrate and if that dont work hopefully find a bad ground.

Ahh nice hopefully your right. The sensor isnt old at all so shouldnt be nothing wrong with it. Hasnt seen anything but 93. I was going say I have been very happy with my lc-1 and now this.
They were having problems but that was there producer in china. They have since came back to the U.S. and hopefully all should be good.

I understand your concern but honestly it sounds like it needs recalibrating. Unfortunately you have to recalibrate these things every once in a while. I personally think it is a good thing though. It keeps your measurements more precise. My black calibration wire would accidently touch metal while I was driving and through off the readings. Stupid me didn't tape the end. I have since corrected the problem and have zero issues with it.

Yah I wired in the recalibration button when i did my install. I just dont feel like going take the sensor out of the exhaust outside. Ill be at school later tonight and Im going to do it then.
You can actually recalibrate while you are on the move, but your best bet is to remove the sensor. It only takes about five minutes. Just jack up the passenger side of the car, remove the sensor, let it heat up, recalibrate, reinstall sensor and you are done. As far as doing it on the move, find a length of road that you can coast on, put it in fifth gear, let off the gas, recalibrate, and you are done.
im having an issue with my lc-1 too. the gauge is functioning properly, but the output line doesnt send a signal. evoscan cant find it. we tested it back to back with another lc1 and his worked. any ideas?
