Fan relay issue and Aem Ems - Evo 8
Does anyone else running an EMS have issues with fan relay chattering? I looked at the manual to see where the fan relay is hooked up to on the EMS. The pin out says it is a PWM pinout. I guess the Pulse width frequency is too low or something because I do not know why the relay chatters.
Can anyone give me some insight as to fix.

I thought I better contribute to the community. Anyways got my relay clicking issue solved as well. So that all knows the PNP setting on the base map works fine. Make sure the base setting are the same as the startup map for your box. Do a software compare to make sure the ac controls are the same under "setup" and also check the "options" under outputs.
In my case the guy who own the car before me adjusted the ac settings off the base but didn't really know what he was doing
.
Basically the aem is confusing if you are triggering the relay to come on via the ac controll setting you do not want to go to options and tell it to turn on there as well. This will confuse the aem box and cause the relay to chatter like we are seeing. You will notice idle 5/6 is the output used for fan and LS11 is used for ac clutch (1313 box). You will notice both those output on the base map under "options" to be not checked as active. The reason is you don't want two places in the software tuning on the relay. Hope this helps all...
