engine problem you experts probably know how to fix

disclaimer: I tried searching and didn't find a thread with same exact sympoms as i've seen. i didn't have 4 hours to scour the threads so i'm asking for help.

problem: when my engine (stock VIII except for IX blow off valve) is idling, it has a slight fluctuation that started a few days ago for no particular reason. when I drive, it seems to run fine. when I'm stopped at a red light I can hear the murmur again. it is consistent, not wild and usually idles at 900ish

any help is greatly appreciated. please only reply if you feel you have the experience to know a solution

considering you have 70k and you havent modded, im gonna take an educated guess and say check your EGR for loose vacuum hose

I second. If no modding has done is has to be a vacuum line somewhere in the emissions setup under the hood, behind the intake manifold, or it is a boost leak at a coupler somewhere.

Ted B did this a while back. You don't have to use welded nice parts as he did, many people use PVC and it works just the same.
