Pro-Efi...experience, vendors, etc??

Searched around and there aren't many threads at all with any info on the pro-efi128 box for the evo's. Just wondering if anyone has got any first hand experience with the box and how it is.

I'm mainly interested in start/driveability/consistency.

A lot of supra guys praise it but even AEM for them isn't bad. I'm tired of the long crank in AEM and want to try something different but don't really want to deal with the stock ecu method.

So...anyone got any info?

Give Lucas at Carz Performance a call. He runs the Pro 128 Box on his Evo IX that replaced the AEM.

i just ordered one for my evo to replace the series 1 aem i have in it now. from everything i have read and people i have talked to, i dont see any downsides except lack of tuners familiar with it. luckily im fairly close to ams and sound performance who are both dealers.

I'm mainley interested in start-up, idle, and drive ability. The wot tuning is the easy part. I know pro-efi has really good knock control as well. Plus the added flex fuel sensor ability.

Anyone on the forums that currently has one installed that can give feedback?

Try a trigger disc to cut down on the crank times on the aem. It should also give more accurate timing control.

John Reed would be a good person to ask.

www.johnreedracing.com

Might hit up Tony Palo www.t1racedevelopment.com

or you could call Pro-Efi directly.

Thought about that, but i don't think you can run them on a IX without losing mivec?

Put it on the exhaust cam gear. Again... if you want to do this you can hit up Tony Palo...he's got a trick setup to do this for the AEM.
